Job Summary:
The Fire Alarm Programmer/System Integrator must be a self-starter, result-oriented, and accept responsibility for achieving desired results. The candidate will be able to read blueprints, understand, and apply customer specifications and follow written and verbal directions. The Fire Alarm Programmer/System Integrator will be certified in Edwards and Honeywell systems. Extinguishing and Sprinkler Systems certifications also desired.
General Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation
- Programming of EST/GENT Systems
- Troubleshooting
- Problem resolution
- Quality control
- Final testing/Certification
- Provide both formal and informal training as required by installation contract or end-users.
- Designing of the fire protection system for special hazards
- Perform drawings and calculations for submission
- Involve in Hydraulic calculations
- Liaise with supervisors on the amendments of drawings and prepare for installations
- Participate in site discussion with the M&E consultants
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, and present a professional image.
- Must possess critical thinking skills as well as the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentation(s).
- Must be able to act as the company liaison for the interface with customer representative(s).
- Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other service documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
- Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
- Must be able to work at various construction sites with required safety PPE.
- Regular attendance is mandatory.
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
- Must possess at least a Degree in Engineering (Electrical, mechanical or civil)
- Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field and demonstrate the ability to supervise others.
- Must have demonstrated the ability to work with and communicate directly with customers and end-users.
- Work independently or as a team member.
- Able to lead a team and train co-workers.
- Must be able to read blueprints, understand and apply customer specifications
- Possess good troubleshooting and communication skills, be computer literate, and have a clean driving record.
