Our client is an established MNC, they are seeking for a Mechnical engineer to join the team to develop connector and cable assemblies for data center usage.
Location: Woodlands
Salary up to $10000
Job Scope:
- Identify, initiate, recommend, and oversee programs to design connector and cable assemblies like OSFP-XD, CDFP etc.
- Understanding of interconnect standards like IEEE 802.3/ PCIe / InfiniBand will be an advantage
- Know of product qualifications following EIA / TIA , MIL, IPC standard will be an advantage
- Lead teams to drive NPI projects, to launch new
- Establishes network of resources with multiple disciplines, with division & global manufacturing team..
- Builds a working knowledge of key corporate initiatives and applies appropriate tools.
- Provides appropriate and timely documentation of work as required by the business unit.
- Intellectual Property: Create new intellectual property for new design work to consolidate values for customer.
- Demonstrate Can-do attitude.
- Work with manufacturing team for tool design and qualification.
- Detailed design such as DFMEA, Tolerance analysis, Mechanical and thermal simulation, 2D drawing etc.
- Interface with customer to understand VoC
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required and Master's is preferred.
- Mechanical engineer with 5+ years of experience.
- Responsible for high-speed cable assemblies and connector product design & development for data center application.
- Excellent skill in Design Software (For Example: UG / NX, AutoCAD. etc.)
- Familiarity with industry standard like IEEE 802.3 / PCIe will an added advantage.
- Able to analyze mechanical test methods and conduct tests.
- Good English skill in both Oral and Written
- Good communication and presentation skill
- Knowledge for signal integrity will be added advantage
