Role:
Research and develop robotics software to solve industrial problems using ROS programming framework and toolkits. Topics of interest include communications middleware, multi-agent coordination and Robotics Middleware Framework (RMF).
Responsibilities:
-Drive independent application oriented robotic research towards industrial automation using ROS
-Develop software solutions for interoperable multi-agent systems project implementation
-Implement systems engineering approach by translating business requirements into system requirements and validation methodologies
-Develop software testing and validation strategies in accordance with industry standards
-Technical project planning and execution on development projects for global industry members
-Technical write up and presentation of project work
Job Requirements:
-Min. years of experience: 3 years of working experience in Robotics and ROS related work
-Proficiency in C++, Python and ROS libraries, Version control systems (e.g. Git), Containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
-Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
-Other requirements (e.g. skills, competencies): Experience in ROS, robotics, multi-agent coordination algorithms, scheduling optimisation algorithms, task assignment and traffic deconfliction, machine learning and systems design is an added advantage
