We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to work on collaborative research projects on improving maternal and child health.
Responsibilities:
· Process clinical samples including RNA, DNA extraction, microbiome isolation
· Isolate and perform primary cell cultures
· Functional analyses using mammalian cells
· Analyze clinical and cellular/molecular data to draw associations
· Assist in manuscript and grant writing, discussion and coordination with external collaborators, including presentation and organizing meetings
Requirements:
· PhD in Biological Sciences or related fields
· Related experience in clinical sciences or analyzing clinical data is preferred
· Expertise in mammalian cell culture work and basic molecular biology (RNA extraction, RT-PCR, qPCR etc)
· Prior experience in handling clinical samples (eg. Cells, blood, human milk)
· Meticulous, organized and independent
