Job Overview
The Cashier and Settlement Officer will be responsible for managing cash transactions, processing payments, and ensuring that all settlements are conducted accurately and efficiently. This role involves working closely with the finance team and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
· Cashier management: Handle daily cashiering tasks including processing cash and electronic payments, ensuring accurate and efficient transaction handling.
· Settlement Processing: Manage the daily settlement of transactions, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations of accounts.
· Transaction Reconciliation: Reconcile payments, refunds, and settlements to ensure that all accounts balance at the end of each day.
· Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in cash or transaction records promptly.
· Reporting: Prepare and submit daily reports on cashiering and settlement activities, including any discrepancies or issues.
· Compliance: Ensure all cashiering and settlement activities comply with internal policies and financial regulations.
· Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the cashiering and settlement process and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
· Customer Services: Provide support to customers regarding payment and settlement inquiries.
· Collaboration: Work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient transaction processing.
What we look for in you
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cashiering or settlement role, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
