We are seeking an experienced MongoDB Developer with a strong proficiency in MongoDB and MQL (MongoDB Query Language). The ideal candidate will be adept at data modeling for NoSQL databases, possess a solid understanding of SQL, and ideally have experience in business analysis. This role involves designing, developing, and managing MongoDB databases, as well as facilitating the migration of data from MariaDB.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Design and Development: Design and implement MongoDB schema and data models that meet application requirements. Develop complex queries and aggregation pipelines to support application features.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize MongoDB performance through indexing strategies, query optimization, and database configuration tuning.
- Data Migration and Integration: Lead data migration efforts, including data import/export, transformation, and integration with other systems and databases.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor MongoDB instances to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Perform regular maintenance tasks, including backups, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with application developers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MongoDB with application code and other systems.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to database design, development processes, and operational procedures.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve database-related issues and provide support to other team members as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a MongoDB Developer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, aggregation framework, and replication.
- Strong understanding of NoSQL databases and their use cases.
- Experience with MongoDB Compass, Robo 3T, or other MongoDB management tools.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
