Resident Engineer (C&S)
Job Description & Requirements
- To check the correctness and integrity of all form works and steel reinforcements for concrete structural members and make necessary adjustments to ensure that they are the same as in the design.
- To check and ensure the correctness of the retaining wall, ground anchor and other soil stabilisation system, as in the design.
- To check and ensure the correctness of site clearance in accordance to approved plans from relevant agencies (i.e with reference to Nparks approved DC and tree felling plan).
- To ensure the implementation of each control measures and vector control in compliance with regulations.
- To supervise the project to ensure that the works are constructed in accordance to the project specifications, construction drawings and Building Control Act and Regulations.
- Provide administrative control and maintaining proper records including site attendance, leave records, overtime records and inspections checklists.
- Review Contractor's submissions, work method statements and work demonstrations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and resolve site discrepancies to prevent delays.
- Attending site meetings, highlighting foreseeable problems and recommending possible solutions, progress, variation and coordination meetings.
- Manage a team of technical supervisors on site to ensure that all site activities comply with the regulations and client's requirements.
- Report to C&S QP, work closely with the regulatory authorities and contractors to provide supervision on site, resolve all site issues and ensure timely completion of the projects.
- Carry out supervision of structural works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor's works on site and regular site checks on Builder and ensure compliance on health and work safety in accordance with MOM.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as RE for LTA project.
