Our client, an educational institute in Singapore is currently seeking a candidate to join them as an Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:
AP, Banking and Treasury
- Ensure payments are valid, accurate and comply with policies, internal control and governance
- Responsible for treasury operations, bank facilities, operation of bank accounts, review of bank mandates
- Support and advise on finance policies, payment processes, budget and other accounting matters
New Overseas Entity
- Manage full spectrum of accounting and finance operations of new overseas entity
- Responsible for timely accounting closing, reporting and financial year-end including preparation of financial statement
- Responsible for yearly budget and various tax filing for the company
Financial year-end, Budgeting, Fixed Assets, Others
- Participate in company’s accounting closing, financial year-end, taxation and budget processes
- Involved in fixed assets projects and related operations matters
- Assist in any other accounting matters, internal audit, ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned
- Liaise with external parties or internal departments for accounting and financial matters
- Develop comprehensive policies and procedures
- Manage the implementation of new ERP system and process improvements
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a finance role with strong experience in Accounts Payable, internal controls, policy development and implementation as well as process improvements
- Experience in ERP system implementation and managing of overseas entity is advantageous
- Prior experience in audit is required
- Prior experience in financial reporting
- Good command of written and spoken English. Able to interact well and enjoy communicating with people across all levels and cultures.
