Customer Service
- Attending to local and overseas customer’s inquiries pertaining to rates and investigating queries and complaints (eg cargo damage, short shipment).
- Inform changes in shipping info to customers (change of vessels/departure date etc).
- Weekly preparation of flyers for weak ports.
- Liaise with other departments closely for documentation.
Cargo Bookings
- Responsible for bookings and tele- marketing for local cargoes. Define the exact commodity description from the shipper.
- Pre-booking with carriers of containers and handling class cargo declaration with carriers for your own sectors.
- Inform changes in shipping info to warehouse (change of vessels/departure date etc).
- Preparation of railing instructions and liaising with warehouse/truckers
- Follow up with shippers of any discrepancy in M3 or packages being booked by phone and fax.
- Getting all the BL draft in place within the given time frame for all consoles that involves AMS/ACI filing.
- Sending cargo needed via emails to all CS & Sales personnel everyday.
- Assisting Export Manager in negotiating with carriers for competitive rates whenever possible.
