Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, including generators, transformers, motors, switchgear, and power distribution systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring minimum downtime and optimizing plant efficiency.
- Monitor electrical systems' performance and respond to any alarms or irregularities.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and incidents to the Assistant Vice President.
- Ensure all electrical systems and installations comply with local and industry standards, including safety regulations.
- Support the Engineering and Maintenance team in implementing upgrades, modifications, and new electrical installations.
- Collaborate in project planning and execution, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned outages.
- Inspect and test electrical equipment periodically to identify potential issues and rectify them before they lead to breakdowns.
- Work closely with the mechanical, civil, and control systems teams to ensure smooth overall plant operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and maintenance logs.
- Ensure that all modifications and repairs are documented according to company standards.
- Suggest improvements in the design, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma / Degree in Electrical / Electronics or equivalent
- At least 2 – 3 years of relevant electrical maintenance of power plant experience
- Must have power plant experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to details
