The EHS Consultant – Ecology shall provide support in the development and delivery of various ecology, life science, natural environment-related projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of proposals and survey plans for biodiversity-related surveys and scope of work.
- Carry out flora and fauna surveys and pre-felling inspections.
- Provide support to other environmental, health and safety-related services such as health and safety compliance and due diligence audits, and sustainability-related projects.
- Provide support to internal stakeholders as required, including participation in natural capital and nature positive groups.
- Preparation of high-quality deliverables including proposals, reports and presentations.
- Support in identification and management of suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Preparation of site-specific HSSE plans to manage risks to clients, employees and the public.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Biological Sciences / Life Sciences / Ecology, or related fields with at least two years of relevant professional experience.
- Familiarity with biodiversity survey protocols.
- Strong written, verbal communication and data presentation skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
- Skills include:
- Use of GIS
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to engage with clients directly
- Strong organisational skills and proactive mindset
