Our client is an established infrastructure developer, keen to hire a Chief Executive Officer to be based outside of Singapore to oversee the overall business and administration of local operations. The overseas operations comprise of approximately 500 staff, of which close to 100 are corporate personnel.
Note: Strong Project Financing & solid Energy/ Power/ Utilities Industry exposure in recent 15 years required. Welcome bankers with strong project financing and relevant industry exposure.
Requirements
- Solid experience in Project Financing required
- Must have strong exposure within the Energy/ Power business in Asia
- Extensive network within the international energy and power community
- At least 10 years in a senior executive role, with proven track record in leading and growing the operations and a diverse team, managing large budgets and driving profitability
- Traits: Mature, culturally sensitive, hands-on, confident, composed, able to influence and engage Board, international investors, local government and various stakeholders
The Position
This position is based outside of Singapore. It will be situated in South Asia.
It is essential to be receptive to and adaptable in a new cultural environment.
As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will lead and drive all aspects of the company and business operations, including business development, strategic leadership, financial management, operational efficiency and stakeholder management in consultation with the senior executive team. The CEO will be responsible for driving innovation and the company's expansion into new markets, driving revenue growth, return on investment, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability, as well as alignment with local and global power and energy trends and regulatory requirements. You will evaluate, identify and pursue new business development opportunities, explore acquisitions, partnerships and new investments. You will also drive initiatives to improve operational productivity and explore opportunities to reduce cost.
You will be responsible for financial management and daily operations, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards, and the reliability of energy production. You will build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders such as investors, customers, financial institutions, government officials, media, and engage with government and industry agencies to shape energy policy and regulations.
The successful candidate should possess a solid understanding of the energy and power sector, strong business acumen, and a proven track record in executive management.
