Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of business units across Singapore, the US, and Dubai. This role will ensure the integrity of financial reports, manage financial risks, and optimize financial performance across global operations while providing strategic financial insights to support the company’s growth and long-term financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage financial reporting, accounting operations, and month-end closing processes for business units in Singapore, the US, and Dubai.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and consolidated financial reporting in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards across all regions.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, to support global business goals.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring liquidity for operations in all business units.
- Communicate effectively in English/Mandarin with stakeholders to ensure financial alignment and strategy execution.
- Establish robust internal controls and risk management procedures across all regions to safeguard company assets.
- Provide in-depth financial analysis, performance metrics, and recommendations to the executive leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions, including tax filings and external audits.
- Oversee and coordinate global financial planning and analysis activities, providing insights into operational performance.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and financial institutions across different regions.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, analyzing financial performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Implement and continuously improve financial systems, software, and ERP solutions to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the global finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification required.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a financial controller role, preferably in multinational companies.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and global regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience managing financial operations across multiple regions or countries.
- Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting on a global scale.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and financial analysis tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines in a dynamic, global environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with global corporate finance, including currency risk management and tax structuring.
- Familiarity with mergers, acquisitions, and financial restructuring on an international scale.
- Experience working with remote teams and managing cross-functional financial operations.
