Position Overview:The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of all construction activities on site. This role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction quality assurance and control, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance & Control:Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for the project.
Ensure that all construction activities comply with project specifications, drawings, and relevant codes and standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction processes and materials.
Identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Documentation & Reporting:Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
Prepare and present quality reports to project management and other stakeholders.
Document and track the resolution of quality issues and non-conformances.
- Collaboration & Coordination:Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met.
Coordinate with laboratories and testing agencies for material testing and quality verification.
Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Compliance & Safety:Ensure that all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and industry best practices.
Monitor and enforce compliance with environmental and safety standards on site.
Investigate incidents and accidents related to quality and safety and implement preventive measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 5-6 years) as a QA/QC Engineer in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferably with experience in LTA/MRT projects.
