How will you make an impact?
Engineer II, Industrial Design position collaborates with Singapore R&D team and US ID team to streamline our instrument development cycles. Together with R&D partner, we support product ideation, execution, and commercialization to meet customer requirements and time to market commitments within target costs.

What will you do?
Propose design concepts that are consistent with visual brand language
Be actively involved with the design process from concept creation to production
Assist senior members of the design team in concept brainstorming, prototyping, & illustration
Able to carry out task assigned independently with minimal direction
Generate and/or finalize CAD/3D surface modeling & support Mechanical Engineering through detailed design phase.
Participate in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews with tooling vendors
Compare design intent with implementation and document differences
Generate brand and product graphic artwork, CMF (Colors, Materials & Finishes standards) documentation, 3D photo realistic renderings
Evaluate and approve CMF & printed graphics on final parts
Evaluate and approve fit & finish of final assembled parts ready for production
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design is required.
Min 2 years of related experience in manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient with engineering tools and applications including CAD (SolidWorks preferred), PLM software, 3D rendering software (Keyshot preferred), Adobe Creative Suite.
Exceptional surface modeling skills- Class A or Curvature Continuous 3D surfaces
Detail oriented, possess a high sensitivity to 3D form development and design aesthetics
Proficient in user-centered industrial design concepts
Basics knowledge in design for manufacturing (DFM) of plastic parts and sheet metal.
