Job Description
- Develop and manage the mechanical and electrical aspects of the tunnelling project plan.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate mechanical and electrical systems into the overall project schedule.
- Review and approve design plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Oversee the installation of mechanical systems (e.g., ventilation, pumping, and drainage systems) and electrical systems (e.g., power distribution, lighting, and communication systems).
- Ensure all systems are installed according to safety standards, regulations, and project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of installed systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Ensure all mechanical and electrical work complies with local, national, and industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures for mechanical and electrical operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential hazards.
- Supervise and manage mechanical and electrical engineering teams and subcontractors.
- Provide training and support to team members to enhance skills and ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team or with other project stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and guidance on complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in tunnelling and engineering.
- Ensure the application of innovative and efficient solutions for mechanical and electrical systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understand concept of EPB and slurry TBM machine operation
- Able to work shift work, 12 hour shift, 6 day work week
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in in LTA project
- Proven track record of managing large-scale tunnelling projects and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in technical software and tools relevant to mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
