Introduction to the Role:
We are seeking a project coordinator who will be part of the Virtual Desktop and App Volumes Packaging Team. The overall objective is to assist with all coordination work related to project including infrastructure, application, user migration and device reclaims.
The Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis to assess user readiness for migration for smooth and efficient transitions.
- Identify and communicate application packaging priorities based on business needs and technical requirements.
- Identify users for migration, process migration according to the deployment plan, and manage migration and reclaim scheduling.
- Utilize ready-made PowerShell scripts to update SharePoint lists, send end-user migration communications, and automate repetitive tasks.
- Send regular updates and reports to stakeholders for review and tracking of migration progress and related changes.
- Process virtual desktop reclaims, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to capacity plans.
- Perform capacity reviews and manage system resources to optimize performance and availability.
- Coordinate user migration, infrastructure rebalancing and retrofitting, application, and reclaim-related change efforts in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Organize and host bridge calls to facilitate communication between stakeholders, technical teams, and other involved parties.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience executing PowerShell scripts, particularly for tasks such as user communication and SharePoint updates.
- Strong proficiency in working with large datasets (10,000+ records) using Excel and PowerShell for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with SharePoint Lists as a collaboration platform for project tracking and information sharing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working across various infrastructure teams, including engineering, storage, operations, support, and service desk functions.
- Hands-on experience with virtual desktops and a strong understanding of Windows 10, Windows 11, and various applications. Familiarity with enterprise applications, servers, and data centers is an advantage.
- Experience managing large personal and shared mailboxes, including organizing, processing, and troubleshooting issues related to email systems.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience using Cisco Webex for communication and collaboration.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across different regions, particularly in APAC, to coordinate tasks and projects.
- Prior experience in the banking industry and familiarity with the unique IT requirements of this environment is a plus.
- Understanding of VMware technologies, such as vCenter or virtual infrastructure, would be an advantage, but not necessary.
