Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will handle a range of routine accounting tasks, support the consolidation team, and assist in the implementation of a new Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system. This role requires coordination with local and overseas finance teams and external partners, ensuring compliance with statutory and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Financial Submissions: Review and ensure accuracy of monthly submissions from subsidiary companies, preparing sub-group consolidation and audit schedules.
- Consolidation & Reporting: Support the consolidation process, assisting in the preparation of financial reports for management review.
- Hedge Accounting: Prepare hedge accounting documentation and related journal entries, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Statutory Compliance Support: Assist local and overseas finance teams in meeting accounting and statutory requirements.
- Liaison with External Parties: Collaborate with auditors, tax agents, and the corporate secretary to support audit processes and ensure tax compliance.
- Consolidation EPM Implementation: Assist in the implementation and testing of the new consolidation EPM system, ensuring smooth transition and functionality.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other related tasks as needed to support the finance department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation processes, and hedge accounting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and experience with EPM implementation is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team.
