Job Responsibilities:
- Report to his Senior Facilities Manager and client.
- Be responsible for manging and maintaining all aspects of the landscape, including gardens, lawns, plants, trees and outdoor spaces. This involves ensuring that the landscaping is well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with the overall design and requirements of Client
- Assist the SFM and Client on the following:
- Oversee and manage the landscape operation team on site. Gather feedback and follow up with adhoc landscape works and/or inform SFM and client where a work order is required for maintenance, improvements, and replacements of landscaping elements. This includes quick response and follow up for any feedback on landscape issues.
- Carry routine inspection independently with strong observation and attention to detail to monitor the overall landscape growth condition to ensure well-maintained landscape.
- Supervise and keep track of landscape contractors’ performance and ensure the landscape contractor follow the maintenance schedule and job requirement in accordance to the contract
- Work closely with the Zone Managers, Housekeeping Executive and Pest Control Executive on the regular internal/joint inspection with the landscape contractor, Horticulturist, Arborist and/or client to improve the upkeep of overall landscape maintenance;
- Coordinate work with landscape supervisor, gardeners, external vendors, and suppliers to ensure the timely and quality of landscaping services and materials for the landscaping works. This includes the pest and disease control measures to protect the health and appearance of plants and trees in the landscape;
- Identify the plant or trees which require urgent attention and report to SFM and client immediately and provide reports on the plant or tree condition with the follow up action.
- Ensure compliance and good practice of the health and safety regulations related to landscaping activities and equipment used for the landscaping works.
- Keep records, generate reports, proposals and any document landscape-related activities. The reports need to submit to client monthly
- Look for continuous improvement in the landscape management process and implement best practices or new technology/sustainability to enhance the overall appearance and functionality of outdoor spaces.
- Advise and make recommendation on plant selection due to site conditions.
- Undertake any other related duties stipulated by client
Job requirements:
- Diploma in Horticulture and Landscape Management or WSQ Diploma/skills certification in Landscape or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant working experience in supervising landscape maintenance and managing contractors.
- Good computer skills and fully competent in MS Office software.
- Good writing, interpersonal and communication skills, service oriented and ability to work independently.
- Good knowledge on landscape operation works with good plant and tree knowledge in accordance to NParks best practices for landscape maintenance operation.
