The finance analyst will assist the finance manager to support the Retail unit on financial related matters such as weekly sales analysis and forecast, billings to Brands, cash & inventory control, system implementation and process improvement.
Key Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for weekly sales performance reporting, including trends analysis, cost management, highlight opportunities that will help in improving margins and reduce cost;
- Organise and analyse data from available data sources to support retail reporting, projects and initiatives,
- Submit monthly sales performance reports to Brands and a key contact person to the brands;
- Generate monthly billings, perform sales reconciliation and resolve any discrepancies
- Work closely with the retail team to ensure proper control over cash and cash equivalent management;
- Administer and work closely with bank merchants in areas such as new payment mode, change of bank merchant;
- Provide support and propose recommendations for improvements to tools and information used within retail analytics;
- Constantly look into areas that will help to improve and enhance operational efficiency;
- Handle retail audit and main contact for auditor.
Prerequisites:
- Diploma/degree in accounting or business, fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Experience with statistical analysis and financial forecasting
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A hands-on team player
- Resourceful and creative in problem solving with the can-do attitude
- Highly motivated and driven to produce results and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Able to multi-task in a demanding and fast-paced environment, anticipate possible obstacles and deliver viable solutions in a timely manner
- Competent in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Power BI
- Abreast of industry updates
