Business Development Manager - ASEAN

Hours: 9AM to 5 PM (Singapore time) (Monday – Friday)

Job brief: As Red Education grows globally and in ASEAN, we are looking for ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager – Technical Training - Sales, to help us expand our clientele in the ASEAN region, based in our Singapore office. You will be at the forefront of the company and have the expertise to build and apply effective sales strategies throughout the region. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through sales in the region, based in our Singapore office, boosting training sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic individual, with a background in Account or Relationship Management to join our sales team. We need you to have energy, a can-do attitude and team focus. You will need to share our belief in empowering people through learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key customers, developing learning opportunities, and closing business for Red Education training courses across the ASEAN region. The role is based out of our central Singapore office.

The key responsibilities for the position include:

  • Manage accounts, vendors and channels to deliver a training plan aligned to their skills gap
  • Develop and execute sales plans
  • Deliver agreed sales performance targets
  • Maintain a strong and accurate pipeline of opportunities
  • Work with our operations team to ensure successful course delivery
  • Building key relationships within all sales channels
  • Campaign and event follow up
  • Represent Red Education at trade shows and events as required (Regional Travel required)

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 5 years of Account Management experience (great if that’s in IT)
  • Excellent understanding of solution selling and relating the value to a customer's business requirements.
  • Proficiency in another ASEAN language would be a plus
  • Be able to execute persuasive sales techniques
  • Demonstrate success in a previous sales role by exceeding targets
  • Understand the channel market, Systems Integrators, Distributors & OEMs across the territories to help sales identify and nurture key influencers within each opportunity
  • First-class presentation, planning, and sales skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a natural team player and have a desire to work with others for broader success
  • Operate successfully in a rapidly changing environment
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate effectiveness through the forecast review process to track performance and results
  • Be familiar with CRM systems (Salesforce) and be able to input lead data regularly to enable results tracking
  • Demonstrate ability to be proactive and take the initiative to get things done
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once (flexible and self-sufficient)
  • Positive attitude, energetic, self-motivated, and persistent (not afraid of rejection)
