Job requirements
We are currently seeking a Business Consultant to support the Singapore team with a particular focus on our Aviation department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the senior fee-earners and other team members in relation to a broad spectrum of complex and large-scale multi-jurisdictional matters, including legal research, analysis and administration tasks
- Assisting the team with major losses, larger claims and uninsured commercial disputes and preparing draft client response notes
- Assisting the team with the retention of documents for discovery requirements
- Assisting the team with case management systems
- Assisting the team in managing third parties that we instruct
- Being a key point of contact for key client for engagement and retention purposes
- Leading and participating in business development activities, with a particular emphasis on the PRC market
Candidate profile - we seek candidates who:
- A diploma or degree in Law
- Proven legal experience in Aviation claims and disputes
- Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal. Fluency in Mandarin is essential.
- Proven commercial acumen and understanding of budgets plus file and matter financials
- Strong client focus and knowledge of client management and related systems such as Interaction
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and exercise personal judgment but within the bounds of appropriate supervision
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure or within tight timescales
- Have a proven ability to collaborate and build effective corporate working relationships colleagues and stakeholders of all levels
- Prior in-house experience (in the aviation industry in the PRC) is preferred
