Job Overview:
The Infrastructure Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, adherence to timelines, and management of project resources. This role requires expertise in managing large-scale infrastructure deployments, upgrades, and migrations, with a strong focus on technical aspects and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Initiation:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
2. Execution & Monitoring:
- Lead project teams, ensuring alignment with objectives and timelines.
- Track project progress, addressing any deviations or bottlenecks.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
3. Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and internal departments.
- Ensure all project documentation is maintained and accessible to all relevant stakeholders.
4. Technical Oversight:
- Provide technical leadership and insight into infrastructure projects (e.g., data centers, cloud migration, network upgrades, etc.).
- Ensure that all technical solutions meet performance, security, and reliability standards.
- Work closely with IT teams to assess hardware, software, and network infrastructure needs.
5. Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Resolve issues that arise during project execution, including resource conflicts, scope changes, and technical problems.
6. Project Closure:
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure smooth handover to operational teams and confirm successful project integration.
