- Food Preparation Support: Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and plating dishes. Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions. Help in the preparation of salads, sauces, and simple dishes.
- Kitchen Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and organized at all times. Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Clean and sanitize work surfaces, kitchen equipment, and floors in accordance with hygiene standards. Dispose of kitchen waste properly and manage recycling as needed.
- Equipment and Inventory Management: Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies. Ensure that food items are stored properly and maintain an organized storage area. Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
- Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures. Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to all kitchen safety protocols. Report any potential hazards or equipment issues to the Kitchen Manager.
- Additional Support: Assist in setting up and breaking down kitchen stations as needed. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager to support the efficient running of the kitchen.
