What the role is
We seek a forward-thinking and strategic-minded individual to play a pivotal part in shaping IRAS’ future by developing and driving strategic initiatives, applying futures methodology, and promoting systems thinking to anticipate and navigate future trends, challenges, and opportunities. This role will expose you to the whole spectrum of transformation work to drive continuous improvement.
What you will be working on
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management and business divisions to define IRAS’ and articulate IRAS’ long-term transformation objectives aligned with IRAS’ vision, mission, and corporate values. Represent Singapore internationally on Digital Transformation in the context of tax administrations.
• Futures Planning: Apply foresight and futures methodology techniques, such as scenario planning, trend analysis and environmental scanning, to identify and assess emerging trends and external factors to ensure robustness of transformation plans and prepare for future uncertainties.
• Innovation and Project Management: Identify opportunities for innovative advancements and drive strategic initiatives in collaboration with business divisions to achieve transformation outcomes. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and interdisciplinary thinking to address challenges and foster innovation. Evaluate the feasibility and potential impact of innovative initiatives, scaling successful experiments for broader implementation.
• Organisation Design: Identify opportunities in the future of work, workforce, and workplace, and apply tools and frameworks to review the organisation design and strategic workforce planning needs of the organisation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate senior management strategic planning sessions and workshops to envision alternative futures, assess the implications of different scenarios on business strategies and operations. Advice and collaborate with business divisions on change management engagement plans and communication.
What we are looking for
• Tertiary qualification in any discipline.
• Experience in strategic planning is preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in utilising digital tools, analytics platforms, and technology solutions.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, capable of working both independently and in teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including senior management.
