Responsibilities
- Create design calculations according to stakeholders' and authorities' requirements
- Liaise with client, consultants, main contractor and sub-contractor in design works
- Provide value engineering proposals during tender and ongoing projects
- Coordinate and assist the project team regarding on site works
- Ensure site works are according to the design calculations
- Comply with relevant design code(s) and authorities' requirements in Singapore
- Check through shop drawings and ensure drawings are according to the design calculation
- Submit calculations and necessary submissions to BCA and relevant authorities in order to get approval on time
- Prepare As-built drawings/calculation for submission to the relevant authorities
- Coordinate closely with the project team to ensure that design calculations and drawings are timely met
- Liaise with the client as and when necessary for design clarification
- Timely submission to authorities when required
Requirements
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering/Architectural
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Façade Design/Engineering, Curtain Wall & Aluminium Cladding
- Good sketching skills and an ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas concisely
- Familiar with Singapore and International Standard design Code and authorities’ requirements
- Good communication skills essential for team-based working
- Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges
- Good time management habits and ability to multi-task
- Core interest in the façade industry with emphasis on detailing and engineering
- Analytical problem solving
- Proficient in MS Office suite, AutoCAD and Staadpro
