Job Description:
- Evaluating patients to determine their functional abilities related to mobility, transfers, and walking.
- Identifying possible impairments and limitations in movement and function.
- Setting specific goals and developing a treatment plan along with a timeline.
- Implementing the treatment plan and adjusting as necessary through re-evaluation.
- Providing physiotherapy interventions such as manual therapy techniques, including manual manipulation and airway clearance methods.
- Use of physical, electro-therapeutic, and mechanical modalities, such as ultrasound, mechanical traction, electrical stimulation, shortwave diathermy, hydrocollators, wax therapy, cryotherapy, biofeedback, and compression therapy.
- Functional training that involves prescribing targeted therapeutic exercises using exercise equipment, muscle re-education, gait training, balance enhancement, and postural improvement.
- Educating patients and ensuring effective communication with them, their caregivers, medical professionals, and other allied health providers.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
Job Requirements:
- A degree in Physiotherapy recognized by the AHPC.
- Must be registered with the Singapore AHPC and hold a valid practicing certificate.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in a geriatric community hospital, long-term care facility, or nursing home is advantageous.
