JOB DESCRIPTION
The Executive provides casework support to low-income families and individuals in improving their resources and ability to cope with their challenges. He/She manages the mentoring and tutoring programme, which supports upper primary/lower secondary school students who are academically weaker, and work closely with volunteers who contribute in it.
Key Job Duties
a) Case Management
· Assesses and recommends appropriate financial assistance and other forms of support to families and individuals.
· Supports and monitors families’ progress in improving their resources and ability to cope with their challenges.
b) Mentoring and Tutoring Programme
· Manages the operation of the mentoring and tutoring programme
· Manages volunteers systematically* to develop and empower them to contribute to the programme (*from recruitment to training to providing feedback and recognition)
· Organise activities to develop the students and strengthen family bonds.
REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum Degree, preferably in Social Sciences
· Has passion to work with low-income families, students and volunteers.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented attitude
· Strong organising skills with the ability to work in teams and independently
· Ability to converse in English, Mandarin and preferably a dialect
· Willing to work on Saturday
· Caring, responsible and resilient
· Proactive in learning
