This position reports to the Head of the Centre of Labour Information and Analytics (CLIA) and works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners on surveys and statistics, policy research and analytics and commercial consulting projects. The candidate is expected to have an interest in labour policies to support SNEF lab’s research and sense-making work to drive SNEF’s efforts in developing and promoting progressive workplace practices, enhance labour market flexibility and advance Tripartism.
Responsibilities
- Research, monitor and interpret economic, labour and HR trends and information
- Design and conduct surveys and analysis on labour and HR data to provide valuable insights
- Evaluate and forecast employers’ position on identified labour guidelines and regulations
- Strengthen employers’ policy position on workplace and workforce issues using a data driven approach
- Support the development of models to project and explain future national manpower scenarios and other driving forces and critical uncertainties shaping Singapore’s economic and manpower environment through partnership with academic institutions, tripartite partners and government agencies
- Execute labour and HR projects along areas such as salary benchmarking, benefits review, employee engagement and also support commercial manpower/HR consultancy projects
- Support the content and delivery of workshops, events and conventions
Requirements
- Degree with a major in Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Business, HR or other related disciplines
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; Designation / Salary to commensurate with experience
- Have interest in understanding Singapore’s labour market and / or human resource landscape
- Good writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the use of applications such as Excel, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI, or any other analytics software would be advantageous
- Have a strategic and growth mindset, meticulous and have a keen eye to details
