Reporting to the Director of Business Development (Events) , the incumbent shall be responsible:-
- To work closely with the Director of Business Development (Events) to develop strategies to maximize yield for the Hotel catering business.
- Follow up and finalizing event details on confirmed MICE/Corporate groups as allocated by Head of Department or Director of Business Development (Events)
- Work closely through detailed coordination and communication with inter-departments namely from Front Office, Reservations, Banquet Operations, Kitchen, F&B and Finance to ensure a smooth execution of MICE/Corporate events.
- Preparing Proforma Invoice correctly, ensure collection of deposit as well as following up on full settlement of events assigned.
- To arrange and conduct familiarization / site inspection of hotel facility when required
- To establish and maintain good customer relationship
- To conduct market research and competitor surveys
- Improve client loyalty, and enhance brand-to-client experience through excellent service delivery
- Provide sound event advice and solutions to event organisers, corporate clients stakeholders base on experience
- Source, evaluate, negotiate and manage third party vendors and/or venues
- Manage the registration process to create a streamlined experience for event organisers, corporate clients, stakeholders including compilation of group hotel bookings
- Checking PMS systems that group blocks for events and rooms are done correctly
- To provide feedback to the Head of Department & Director of Business Development (Events) on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition or new solutions to enhance revenue
- Upselling of services to increase revenue from confirmed event
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 3 years management experience with international hotel chain particularly in Sales & Marketing/Catering Dept.
- Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Sales & Marketing
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office.
- Able to thrive in a highly competitive environment.

- Possess essential and decisive leadership traits and be able to impart knowledge to junior employees.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service mindset.
- Well groomed, presentable and able to articulate ideas well.
