Job Description
- Perform credit and rating reviews, including analysis for new and existing loan portfolios (both local and overseas).
- Prepare loan synopses and make recommendations for loan acceptance or rejection to senior management.
- Conduct loan portfolio analysis, industry analysis, and market comparison studies.
- Collaborate closely with major stakeholders to ensure that day-to-day risk management issues are handled and addressed appropriately.
- Draft and update credit management policies and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of workflows and systems in accordance with business strategies and policies related to credit risk management.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements, as well as local regulatory standards.
- Conduct credit analysis for loan committee approval presentations as an analyst to obtain approval from the Credit Committee.
- Carry out activities related to the establishment of Credit Risk Rating (CRR) and specialized financial ratios, assessing the credit industry's prospects to evaluate the level of credit risk individually, which serves as the basis for calculating the cost of risk and credit portfolio management.
- Perform other ad hoc assignments as assigned by the Senior Management.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Accountancy, with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Candidates with certifications related to banking / risk management are preferred
- A personal interest in financial markets and analysis; able to interpret financial statements to form an informed analysis of an entity's financial health.
- Good knowledge of finance, commercial laws, industry trends, and the political and economic environments in global financial markets.
- Analytical, meticulous, focused, and able to work under pressure/tight deadlines .
- Strong analytical skills and investigative acumen.
- Team player with excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; strong computer skills, especially in Excel.
- Fluent in English and one other Asian language (Bahasa, Chinese, or Malay) is an advantage.
