Responsibilities:
As a mid-to-back-office position responsible for company operations and risk management, the main job responsibilities will include:
- Performing daily risk control processes such as intraday risk monitoring, margin call processes (including issuing margin calls and ensuring clients meet their margin calls in a timely manner), and positions liquidation procedures.
- Understanding complex portfolios and trading strategies in derivatives markets, as well as the account risks associated with trading different products or categories, such as the distinct risks of buying/selling options.
- Familiarity with the fundamental principles of the SPAN risk control system and knowledge of stress testing methodologies.
- Responsible for daily monitoring of post-trade client transaction behavior, including monitoring trading activities of long-term excessively active clients, wash trades, spoofing, and detecting various types of suspicious transaction behavior on a daily basis.
- Responsible for the daily maintenance of parameter data in our company's back-office systems, including broker data input, client information input, trading market and product settings, commission and margin maintenance settings, etc.
- Responsible for weekly/monthly statistical analysis of client trading data, handling various reports required by the SGX exchange, and communication with the SGX exchange.
- Assisting the finance department in tasks such as daily recording and verification of client bank deposits and withdrawals, supporting the dealing department in tasks like User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before new system function launches, as well as other ad-hoc projects assigned by other departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Familiar with derivatives financial products
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using Excel functions/VBA coding
- Self-sufficiency and an ability to work with minimal supervision
- The primary work location is in Singapore
