Summary
The Senior Crewing Executive is responsible for managing the recruitment, deployment, and welfare of crew members for the company’s vessels. This role involves ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and company policies, while also fostering a positive work environment for seafarers.
Key Responsibilities
- Crew Management: Oversee the recruitment, selection, and deployment of crew members, ensuring all positions are filled with qualified personnel.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to maritime regulations, company policies, and international standards related to crew management.
- Welfare Support: Monitor and address the welfare needs of crew members, including accommodation, travel arrangements, and onboard support.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date crew records, certifications, and other relevant documentation.
- Training Coordination: Collaborate with training departments to ensure crew members complete necessary training and certification programs.
- Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to crew members, facilitating professional development.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for crew members, addressing concerns and facilitating communication between crew and management.
- Budget Management: Assist in managing the crewing budget, ensuring cost-effective practices while maintaining high standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations and HR, to align crewing strategies with organizational goals.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in crew management or related roles within the maritime offshore industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Maritime Studies, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with maritime regulations, crew management software, and HR practices.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
