Job Description Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and result-driven Planning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to analyze and think critically. As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing project plans and schedules, identifying potential issues and risks, coordinating with different departments ensuring that projects are on schedule and develop and implement best practices for planning processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules including resource allocation, deadlines, and milestones, using various planning tools and software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
- Monitor and update project progress and identify potential issues or risks that may impact project timelines
- Work closely with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate project planning
- Perform critical path analysis, identify risks and opportunities, and propose solutions to optimize project schedules
- Evaluate and analyze project progress to identify deviations from the plan and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in regular project status meetings and provide progress reports to stakeholders
- Prepare and present planning-related reports for management and stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Continuously improve project planning and execution processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technology advancements and project management best practices
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel
- Relevant working experience in MRT project
- Proficient in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is a plus
