Objective of the Role:
- The Operations and Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operational and maintenance activities of the sites under the O&M Division.
- It is a strategic role to ensure the optimization of the processes, resources, reliability and efficiency of all facilities and equipments in the division.
- Success means a track record of effective leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on problem-solving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with internal and external clients and vendors.
The Role:
- Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans for each operating site and the maintenance regime to align with overall business objectives.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Team Leadership:
Responsible to lead, mentor, and motivate the various teams of operations and maintenance professionals at different sites in Singapore. Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Site Management:
Provide an oversight on equipment and process issues and projects executions at the various sites. Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Equipment Maintenance:
Using SO&M to execute the preventive and condition-based maintenance program for all equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Provide leadership over vendors and OEM support to troubleshoot and address equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Resource Management:
Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and equipment, tools. Collaborate with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary supplies and spare parts.
- Regulatory Compliance:
Reporting and Analysis: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards pertaining to operations and maintenance.
Implement and maintain safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
- Routine reporting
Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators, maintenance activities, and operational efficiency. Analyse data to identify trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.
What Do You Need to Have?
- Candidates MUST possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Candidates MUST possess at least 8 to 10 years of proven experience in operations and maintenance management, preferably in oil & gas / pharmaceutical / chemical industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant local regulations, codes, and standards.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and application.
- Experienced with cost centre budgeting and forecasting capital expenses.
- Familiarity with business and financial principles is a plus.
