Responsibilities:
- Leadership in Safety Practices:"Lead and promote safety practices and initiatives to foster a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization."
- QHSSE Management System Maintenance:"Manage and maintain the company's QHSSE management system on vessels, identify system or process gaps, and implement continuous improvements."
- Vessel-Specific Manuals:"Prepare or update vessel-specific manuals as needed to ensure adherence to the latest safety standards and regulations."
- Document Management:"Maintain QHSSE department documents and records, review shipboard month-end documentation submissions, risk assessments, and permits to work."
- QHSSE Program Implementation:"Implement QHSSE programs and oversee QHSSE activities onboard to ensure compliance and effectiveness."
- Training and Coaching:"Conduct crew inductions, briefings, provide shipboard training, and safety coaching to enhance safety awareness and competence."
- Incident Management:"Follow up on incident, accident, and near-miss reporting, conduct investigations, perform root cause analysis, implement preventive measures, and ensure proper documentation and closure."
- Communication:"Prepare and distribute circulars as needed to keep the crew informed about safety updates and procedures."
- Audits and Inspections:"Perform shipboard internal audits and inspections, inter-departmental and company internal audits, and subcontractor audits according to the audit plan to maintain high safety standards."
- External Audits and Inspections:"Prepare the vessel and participate in shipboard audits and inspections (ISM, ISPS, MLC, OVID, CMID, OSVIS, HSE) conducted by external parties or clients."
Job Requirement
- ISM / ISPS / ISO Internal Auditor Certificate
- DPA / CSO Certificate
- Accident / Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis Certificate
- Previously attended BOSIET training
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marine-related QHSSE roles
