Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect (Infrastructure) to lead, design, and deliver the next stage of our organization’s technical infrastructure architecture. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of core infrastructure components such as server, storage, database, middleware, and operating systems. Application layer knowledge is beneficial but not the primary focus. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and scalable infrastructure solutions are in place, supporting the organization’s strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Leadership:Lead the design, planning, and implementation of advanced infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term IT strategy.
Define technical architecture roadmaps and oversee the transition to next-generation infrastructure.
- Infrastructure Design and Optimization:Develop and implement infrastructure designs encompassing server, storage, database, middleware, and OS layers.
Evaluate existing systems and recommend upgrades or replacements to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Technical Expertise:Serve as the subject matter expert on core infrastructure components, providing guidance on best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
Collaborate with application teams to understand infrastructure requirements, focusing on optimizing system-level performance.
- Project Management & Delivery:Lead infrastructure projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Management:Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable architecture solutions.
Present technical proposals and solutions to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
- Security and Compliance:Ensure that infrastructure designs adhere to the organization’s security, compliance, and data protection standards.
Incorporate security by design principles into all architectural considerations.
- Team Mentorship:Mentor and guide junior architects and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Promote best practices in architecture design and system integration.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in a technical architect or senior infrastructure role.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in infrastructure architecture, with hands-on experience in:Server Systems (Virtualization, High-Availability Clusters)
Storage Solutions (SAN/NAS, Backup & Recovery, Data Management)
Databases (RDBMS, NoSQL)
Middleware (Web Servers, Integration Platforms)
Operating Systems (Linux/Unix, Windows Server)
- Architectural Design: Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale, complex infrastructure systems.
- Leadership: Experience leading architectural design sessions and guiding technical teams.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.
