Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly and motivated Service Cashier who can also assist our kitchen crew with food preparation. This dual role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food, enjoy interacting with guests, and are eager to support both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Handling: Accurately process guest transactions using the POS system, handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, and maintain a balanced cash register at the start and end of day.
- Guest Service: Greet and assist guests as they arrive, providing menus and answering questions about the menu and specials.
- Order Management: Take and process orders efficiently, ensuring that all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
- Food Preparation Support: Assist the kitchen crew with food prep tasks such as prepping, and organizing ingredients under the direction of chefs.
- Inventory Assistance: Help receive and store kitchen supplies, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and organized.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the cashier station and dining area clean and organized, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with both front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication during busy service times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Basic food prep experience is a plus but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good Proficient use of POS systems.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is a bonus.
