Responsibilities Include, But Not Be Limited To
- Ensuring compliance with agreed charter party terms;
- Verifying that all voyage orders comply with the charter party terms;
- Coordinating releasing of bills of lading,re-documentation and switching of bills of lading when necessary;
- Coordinating agency appointments , reviewing the PDAs and FDAs;
- Communicating with charterers, brokers, agents and vessels regarding voyage orders, vessel itineraries etc.;
- Managing letters of indemnities;
- Monitoring vessel movements and performances;
- Reviewing cargo stowage and optimizing cargo lifting, loading & unloading sequences;
- Monitoring hold cleaning plans;
- Ensuring that all cost data is logged and maintained; P&Ls for the voyages are kept updated in the shipping system IMOS;
- Keeping cargo documents updated;
- Planning bunker supplies and co-ordination with bunker suppliers;
- Liaising with the P&I clubs , legal teams to resolve disputes;
- Liaising with Laytime team regarding completion of all invoicing and payments for the relevant voyage;
- Updating various vessel questionnaires and certificates’ databases;
- Coordinating extra insurance covers ( IE: war risk, LoH, K&R etc.) with owners when necessary;
- Planning and coordinating the embarkation/disembarkation of armed guards on voyages through currently designated high-risk areas.
Desired Skills And Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business / Economics / Maritime Studies;
- Minimum 3 years' experience with dry bulks' operations;
- Understanding the Shipping & Chartering Terms;
- Able to work independently and take own initiative;
- Proficiency in Chinese for the coordination with China trade flows;
