- Sourcing and procuring subcontractors and suppliers, and compiling prices for comparison
- Reviewing and understanding specifications and drawings, and preparing cost loadings
- Negotiating with stakeholders on quantities, unit rates, and schedules of rates
- Preparing and reviewing payment claims, variations, and scope of work/responsibility matrices
- Collaborating with upstream and downstream parties on contractual and cost-related issues
- Awarding and documenting sub-contracts
- Managing and evaluating project variations
- Conducting value engineering and cost control in conjunction with design development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
- At least 7 years of experience in construction or quantity surveying, with expertise in procurement, quantity surveying, and SOP Act
- Strong understanding of LTA MRT Works and Design and Build Projects
- A team player with strong negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Possesses high integrity, a pleasant personality, and a proactive approach
- Meticulous, analytical, and hands-on, with excellent multitasking skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, work independently with minimal supervision, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work from a site office and alternate Saturdays
