Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Construction Accounting Manager to join our team and manage the financial aspects of our airportl projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, capable of managing budgets, forecasting financial outcomes, and ensuring the financial health of the project. This role is responsible for offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes. They must demonstrate strong collaboration and leadership capabilities coupled with outstanding organization and time management skills. Essential Duties &

Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and control project costs against budget plan.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including WIP, profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Collaborate with operations and other stakeholders to review financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Utilize and manage financial software and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Implement new technologies to enhance financial management and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable related to construction projects.
• Conduct payroll reviews and provide labor bill rate support for project-related staff.
• Coordinate with external auditors and customers for project audits and financial reviews.
• Provide financial advice and support to senior management and project teams.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
• Conduct subcontractor prequalification reviews.
• Monitor daily cash management and cash control processes.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance and project success.
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior and executive management.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA, CMA, or CCIFP certification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting or financial management.
• Proven knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced understanding of Taiwan construction industry financial practices and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.

Responsibilities

The Contracts/Commercial Manager is responsible for the overseeing commercial and contractual aspects related to the main contract and subcontracts, managing any commercial and contractual risk relating to the project and employ mitigation actions as quickly and effectively as possible.

• Review external providers (i.e vendors and subcontractors) terms of service and project deliverables.
• Provides contractual advisory from the commercial perspective to the project through all stages: construction, subcontracting, completion and hand-over,
• Provides support to the Quantity Surveyor team in the project, monitoring, reporting, planning and coordinating all aspects of their work.
• Proactively engages in continuous improvement and review of existing processes, systems and policies that may support the project’s contract management and administration.
• Advises on all contractual correspondence related to the project, considering commercial impact
• Identify, assess and manage / advise on contractual risk
• Manages contractual claims, disputes, settlements and resolution
• Communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders both verbally and in written notices eg. extension-of-time (EOT) , change order, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management /Civil Engineering or related fields

Job description:

- Oversee the accounting operations and develop plans and process for financial reporting.

- Supervise accounting department, guide, and train the team to achieve department goals.

- Lead the financial reporting process, review financial reports, and resolve issues as they arise.

- Perform audits related to company financial accounts.

- Work closely with head office on accounting matters and provide relevant reports.

Requirements:

- Diploma and above qualifications in accounting or finance related discipline.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance capacity, prior experience in manufacturing industry is preferred, experience in garments/footwear manufacturing is advantageous.

- Prior experience with big 4 accounting firms is an advantage.

- Familiar with cost accounting and IFRS.

- Experience in ERP system.

- Good communication skills, good command of both English and Chinese (The role is based in Indonesia and reports to CFO based in Taiwan.)

- Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PPT, etc.)

- A hands-on manager with teamwork spirit and skills.

Reporting to the Head of Legal Department, the incumbent will support and oversee the administration of contracts from initial negotiation to completion of projects, including cost and budgetary controls, extension of time claims, procurement, variations and other contractual and legal matters.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance and support on contractual issues for new projects and on-going projects
• Initiate change orders, request procedure, prepare and coordinate any claims under the project. In the case of non-resolved disputes, work out change or claims amount and schedule impact, keeping all records and files related to these items
• Administer all contractual correspondences with client, sub-contractors and vendors
• Provide support in reviewing and drafting of contractual documentation and qualification notes

Requirements:

• Possesses at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Quantity Surveying/Legal related or its equivalent discipline
• Preferably with at least 10 years’ working experiences in contracts administration and claims management in similar industry
• Possesses good negotiation skills and the ability to meet tight schedules/deadlines, with good planning and organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Possesses good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin to liaise with both our external and internal stakeholders from China and other countries
• Able to be relocated to China
