RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager/Senior Manager, Internal Audit is responsible for leading the internal audit function to ensure the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive audit plan, providing strategic insights, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit Planning and Execution:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit strategy and risk-based internal audit plan.
• Lead and conduct audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide strategic recommendations to enhance risk management and governance processes.
• Ensure audits are completed on time and within budget.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.
• Provide recommendations to mitigate risks and improve processes.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Reporting:
• Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and the audit and risk committee.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
• Track and report on the status of audit issues and management actions.
• Leadership and Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the internal audit team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
• Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

• Chartered Accountant, Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, CISA are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or related fields, with at least 5 years leading an internal audit and risk assessment function.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Job Description

• Report to the Internal Audit Lead, assist in establishing risk-driven audit plan based on regulations and business objectives;
• Independently identify and evaluate risks and internal controls of auditable subject, based on understanding of local regulatory requirement, the company's strategies and business objectives and prepare audit reports that meet internal and local regulatory requirements;
• Responsible for communicating with management of problems discovered, providing effective and efficient action plans, driving and overseeing relevant remediation and validating the implementation of the remediations;
• Able to coach junior staff to perform audit projects;
• Able to establish continuous monitoring models to improve the efficiency of audit projects; and able to proactively identify and report significant risk exposures and control issues to the Internal Audit Lead during continuous monitoring process;
• Conduct ad-hoc review at the request of the Internal Audit Lead, as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above;
• At least 7 years' experience in internal/external audit or risk management related work. Risk management related audit and working experience in Big Four, financial sectors would be preferred;
• Understanding of regulatory requirements within MAS and relevant laws and regulations;
• Data analytical capabilities, able to use SQL or equivalent data analysis tool would be preferred;
• Familiar with COSO, Holder of CIA, CPA or similar certificates would be preferred;
• Highly energized and positive, adapt to changes, be creative and able to quickly learn and understand innovative financial business. Have Fintech thinking and well-developed communication skills, and be able to communicate well with business side.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for building the internal control system from scratch for the company's investment company and overseas branches (Southeast Asia and North America), designing processes and authorization protocols in line with business needs and development status, and promoting the implementation of supporting productization (ERP, OA, CRM) to ensure that under the condition of fully controlling risks, the internal approval, authorization, and risk management processes are simple and efficient.
• Conduct business risk assessments for different business sectors and functional departments of the investment company and overseas branches; and improve the authorization management, reward and punishment measures, and mornitoring functions for each position in conjunction with the rights and responsibilities of position, to ensure that all roles and responsibilities are in place to fully undertake the risk control activities required by the company.
• Work closely with overseas HR/finance and business parties to respond to risk management consultations and business risk assessments, ensuring that risk control concepts and measures can be efficiently and correctly integrated into the business process and systems, and assist the business in continuously focusing on risk control, proposing dynamic improvement suggestions to fit the development of the investment company and overseas business.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or relevant qualifications.
• Possess at least 5 to 8 years of relevant audit working experience
• Having relevant certifications such as CIA, CISA, CA and experience using data analytics tools and audit management applications would be preferably considered.
• Essential for candidates to possess strong technical, analytical, verbal communication, report writing and project management skills.
• Good understanding of SEA internal controls, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and knowledge of internal auditing techniques and standards, business sense and acumen.
• High emotional quotient, meticulous, analytical process-driven, self-starter and good collaboration and teamwork.

Internal Audit Manager

To be part of the Regional Internal Audit team, conducting and completing audit assignments and working with other Internal Audit team members around the globe. The Internal Audit Manager will report to their Regional Head of Internal Audit and will assist management to improve the control environment within all business units and fulfill Internal Audit’s governance role. This means providing independent objective assurance to the Audit Committee, and assisting the CEO and CFO in the effective discharge of their responsibilities to the Lendlease Group Board in the areas of financial, operational and health & safety risk management and internal control.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Regional Head of Internal Audit to define the regional Internal Audit Strategy and Plan
• Provide support to create and manage the regional Internal Audit plan based on a risk based approach to Internal Audit
• Maximise the impact of audit through focus on the major strategic, regulatory, financial, operational and health & safety risks facing Lendlease
• Assist and advise the regions with the implementation of framework, policies and standards across the businesses
• Formulate, develop, plan and conduct scheduled audit reviews in accordance to Lendlease Audit Compliance and Execution Standards (LACES).
• Plan individual audits based on an assessment of process risks and controls, design audit programmes in line with risk assessment and carry out fieldwork within agreed timeframes, the Terms of Reference and the audit programme.
• Produce quality audit reports and AC summaries in line with agreed reporting timelines and discuss findings with management.
• Co-ordinate the audit close-out process and escalate business critical issues quickly.
• Drive management commitment to generate solutions in response to audit findings
• Follow up management actions post audit.
• Assist the Regional Head of Internal Audit in the delivery of audit communications and reporting to the RMAC and the board where required.
• Assist and conduct reviews for business integrity matters in accordance with Lendlease’s Business Integrity Review Framework.
• Act as a ‘sounding board’ and advisor to peers with regard to audit and internal control matters.
• Monitor new developments in auditing techniques.
• Ensure activities related to the function comply with legal, ethical and Lendlease standards.

Strategic

• Form an effective working relationship with the regional business unit Heads of Risk, Compliance and EH&S.
• Promote internal audit function as business partner across the organisation.

Operational Excellence

• Effectively plan and manage all phases of the audit process, from planning and risk identification, fieldwork, reporting writing, close out and follow up.
• Adhere to audit timeframes committed to in the Terms of Reference.
