Internship description

The intern will join MCapital Insights in Singapore from the beginning of January 2025 and will be working within a small and hands-on team mostly based in France (Paris) with direct senior and client exposure, on the following topics:

• On direct investments:
• Prepare market studies and screenings
• Perform strategic analyses and due diligence on targeted companies
• Challenge business plans and execute financial modeling
• Write investment memos for internal purposes
• Attend conference calls and in-person meetings with entrepreneurs, other funds, investment bankers, industry experts, etc.
• On the business development side: assist Byway’s portfolio companies in their potential expansion, projects, or studies.

Ideal candidate

• Singaporean or Permanent Resident
• Final year student from top tier universities with major in Finance, Accounting, or other business-related subjects.
• Strong financial knowledge and keen interest for entrepreneurship and private equity.
• Excellence in English (speaking and writing). French not required

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Possess at least 10 years of IT audit or IT risk management work experience, preferably with internal audit experience in the Banking and Finance Industry. Those with substantial security experience in cloud, infrastructure (e.g. network/system/database) and cybersecurity will also be considered.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of data analytics and visualization tools
• Experienced in managing and executing fieldwork, issue writing and reporting
• Experienced in reviewing technology domains across infrastructure, applications, cyber security, cloud technology, governance processes and horizontal IT processes

As Regional IT Auditor, you will add value and improve the bank’s Information Technology and Information Security operations by bringing an efficient and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. You will travel and work closely with internal audit counterparts on a regional scale to conduct audit visits. You will have the opportunity to work with the stakeholders to evaluate internal controls and providing recommendations to strengthen these processes.

The Regional IT Auditor will be responsible for conducting IT audits across the Asia Pacific region. This role focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes within information technology environments across SMBC APAC offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or execute Information Technology and Information Security audits independently and efficiently, which includes audit planning, key control evaluation and testing, report drafting, as well as follow-up and closure of issues. Perform these audit activities in accordance with the Bank's internal audit methodology.
• Assess the Bank's Information Technology and Information Security internal control environment to provide comprehensive insights into the current risk posture, identify potential vulnerabilities, and recommend strategic improvements. About the role

Reporting to the Regional Account Manager, Asia Pacific, the Regional Key Account Support Intern will be part of the Luxury Fashion vertical and will be responsible for developing key materials to support vertical growth in Asia Pacific.
