About You

• Experienced professional with a Bachelor's degree (in Accountancy, Business Administration or Information Technology related fields) and/or equivalent (CPA, CIA or CISA qualified) certification.
• Preferably at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in internal audit services in a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firm or internal audit function of a multi-national or publicly-listed firm.
• Possess good working knowledge of IIA standards and updated understanding of the global internal controls, risk management and governance standards (e.g. COSO May 2013 update, ISO 31000, Singapore’s Code of Corporate Governance etc).
• Dynamic, self-motivated and driven to excel in a high-pressure environment (e.g. managing multiple deadlines and projects with an allocated portfolio of clients)
• Possess excellent oral and written communications skills to lead closing meetings and presentations.
• Good communications, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as being adept to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willing to travel internationally for work (upon lifting of travel restrictions in accordance with prevalent government advisories)
• Practical experience of using data analytics to augment internal audit or other review findings would be advantageous.
• Motivated and adaptable professional with excellent interpersonal skills to connect with internal and external stakeholders and adapt to a new working environment.

Our Client is a SGX Listed company in Hospitality industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Regional Internal Audit Assistant Manager to be part of their Internal Audit team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West Area - easily accessible.

Roles and Responsibilities for Regional Internal Audit Assistant Manager:

• Conduct assigned audit tasks as directed by the Head of Group Internal Audit or a delegate.
• Evaluate, document, and test internal controls within business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare detailed work papers that support audit findings and conclusions.
• Confidently communicate audit results to management.
• Draft concise, accurate, and relevant audit reports.
• Offer technical support to junior team members when needed.
• Recommend improvements to audit procedures by integrating data analytics.
• Assist in handling whistle-blower complaints as directed.
• Perform additional audit reviews and tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in related field
• Minimum of 5 years' internal audit experience in corporate setting
• Experience in listed company and Certified Internal Auditor is a bonus
• Comfortable with extensive travel

As a Senior Associate/ Experienced Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of subject matter experts with extensive industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues and be the catalyst to help shape a new governance and risk paradigm and identify areas of potential performance improvement. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Primarily support internal controls reviews (including SOX, Pre-IPO and IT audit work) of clients in wide range of industries, which include but are not limited to automotive, communications, consumer & industrial products, energy, engineering & construction, government & public sector, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceutical & medical devices, real estate & hospitality, retail & distribution, technology, transportation & logistics, professional services;
• Work with engagement team leaders and managers for planning reviews when directed;
• Perform walk-through interviews, identify key controls and tailor audit procedures to evaluate the design and validate operating effectiveness of internal controls in various business processes;
• Review and recommend practical business process improvements to address control gaps and to enhance efficiency where possible;
• Support engagement team leaders and managers in data analytics tests using Teammate Analytics and Tableau software as part of internal controls review work;
• Draft findings in report deliverables with clear and concise business writing abilities;
• Present review findings and topics of interest confidently and succinctly in the presence of engagement team and client’s stakeholders in closing meetings;
• Support and perform other GRC projects when required and directed.

About you:

• At least 3-5 years of external audit, internal audit or IT audit experience, preferably in a Big 4 Accounting Firm and/or commercial organisations’ in-house internal audit department.
• Degree in Accounting or Business Management (with accounting specialisation). For candidates with other degree specialisations, candidates should have obtained or are in the process of pursuing Singapore CA, ICAEW, CIA or CISA accreditations.
• Strong communication skills in English and one other second language (both oral and written)
• Proficient in MS Office suit (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) and has experience in use of various Enterprise Resource Planning software
• Professional services experience with clients in Singapore and/or other countries in the Asia Pacific regions.
