Roles & Responsibilities

Financial Reporting / Management & Reviews

• Preparation of payments for approval
• Ensure preparation of timely and accurate management accounts
• Prepare and maintain full sets of financial reports
• Monitor and analyse monthly results/variances and perform financial review to directors

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage audits of Consumer and Private Banking by utilising Group Audit risk based and data driven audit approach in evaluating governance framework, risk management, regulatory compliance processes and internal control systems.
• Provide value-added opinions and recommendations to improve the design and effectiveness of internal controls, in co-operation with line management.
• Ensure audit work is completed and documented in accordance with required standards and KPIs.
• Coach team members during audit engagements, especially those who are more junior/less experienced.
• Support the Head of Department in the annual risk assessment and audit planning relating to Consumer and Private Banking businesses, including periodic/on-going risk monitoring of the businesses and operations to identify risk areas and emerging risk themes, facilitating timely updates of risk assessment and potential changes to the audit plan.
• Participate in audit projects and on-going exercise to enhance the Bank’s audit and risk management framework, with specific focus on data analytics and continuous auditing/continuous risk assessment.

Requirements:

• Ability to work effectively, independently and collaborate well with others as a team leader and as a team member, with the requisite analytical and managerial skills to perform detailed/technical work without losing sight of ‘big picture’ issues.
• Good audit skills and understanding of all risks and controls relating to Wealth Management (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering and Sales Practices).

• Team member in audit engagements, which include planning, executing risk based financial and operational audits and completing audit statutory financial audits.

Our Client is seeking an Assistant Client Accounting Manager with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join the team in Singapore. The candidate should have minimum 1-3 years of relevant working experience preferably from a professional services firm in Assurance / Accounting / Outsourcing / Client Accounting environment serving SME clients.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of customers ranging from SME business owners to Finance-Admin SME staff and assist with issues on accounting, GST, tax, payroll and corporate secretarial matters.

You may be tasked to assist in training and helping a team of junior accountants and bookkeepers based both in Singapore and in our Philippines office. In this regard, the ideal candidate should have sound technical knowledge, be task-driven, but also have an ability to work with other accountants and bookkeepers, helping and guiding them technically.

This is a full-time position with a 100% remote working arrangement. You may either fully work-from-home or pursue a hybrid option of working from our office situated at 80 Robinson Road and work-from-home.

What you will do:

Sales and Onboarding:

● Prospect, quote, onboard new customers and identify suitable Xero-integrated apps or solutions (point-of-sales, inventory, payments, payroll) for accounting automation

● Drive and lead migration work, managing production team members to complete

● Identify opportunities to provide more value and services to the customers, translating to higher fees and upsell of services

Production of Deliverables:

● Create and disseminate monthly management accounts using Xero cloud accounting ecosystem and its integrated solutions. You may be tasked to supervise and review the work of production team members.

● Prepare workpapers, annual unaudited financial statements and tax computation. You may be tasked to supervise and review the work of production team members.

● Perform or review monthly or quarterly GST submissions for customers, as well as submissions of Estimated Chargeable Income and final tax Form C/S on IRAS portal.

● Compute or review payroll and submission of CPF to CPF Board, submission of annual IR8A and IR21.

● Liaise with Corporate Secretary partner firm to ensure Annual Return filing deadlines are met.

● Ensure all timelines and reporting deadlines are adhered to.

● Communicate complex technical information to customers and other stakeholders.

● Ensure good client feedback, customer satisfaction and encourage referrals.

What you will need:

● Minimum 1-3 years of relevant working experience preferably from a professional services firm in Assurance/Accounting/Outsourcing/Client Accounting environment serving SME clients

● Minimum Diploma in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA etc.)

● Experience preparing Financial Statements, Tax Computation with good knowledge in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, tax laws, GST and CPF is preferred

• Strong command of English and Chinese languages are pre-requisites as the part of the client portfolio is China based

• Regional travel of up to 50% is required
