Job Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Collaborate with department heads to collect inputs and validate assumptions. Develop financial models to simulate various business scenarios.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyze monthly financial results, identify trends, and highlight risks and opportunities.
Provide insights into financial performance, offering actionable recommendations.
- Performance Monitoring: Track actual results versus forecasts and budgets; investigate significant variances. Partner with cross-functional teams to understand operational changes impacting financial results. Maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics.
- Business Partnering: Act as a financial advisor to different departments, supporting budget management and resource allocation. Simplify financial metrics for non-financial stakeholders, aiding in effective decision-making. Participate in strategic projects, contributing financial insights.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency in FP&A workflows. Collaborate with IT and finance systems teams to automate reporting processes. Help develop and maintain financial systems for streamlined data reporting.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis & Projects: Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to support business decisions. Support special projects, including M&A, market expansion, and product launches.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CFA/CPA preferred)
- Experience: 2-4 years in financial planning, analysis, or related field
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) preferred
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
