• Examine Structural Drawings provided by consultants.
• Support the Design Manager in overseeing consultants during both the Tender stage and Site implementation phase.
• Conduct initial structural design analysis / conceptual design to aid in Tender costing. Aid the project and operation teams in resolving structural design challenges.
• Ensure adherence to design procedures in accordance with the OHSQ Management System.
• Plan and manage design tasks and schedules to ensure timely and accurate production and approval of shop drawings.
• Communicate with clients regarding design details of shop drawings and suggest alternatives when necessary.

Requirement:

• Minimum 5 years experiences in shop drawings preparation for large scale projects.
• Candidate must prossess Professional Engineers Board recognized Degree in Civil/Structure Engineering with relevant design working experience
• Familiar with Auto CAD software and knowledge in BIM software will be an added advantage

Job Responsibilities:

Design & Specifications Management

• Responsible for the design submission, shop drawings, standard details and calculations, etc.
• Lead and conduct front-end engineering and design works including conceptual and feasibility studies
• Review the design, specifications, and drawings in the construction projects to drive cost savings through improvements in construction methods, sequence and/or material used
• Resolve technical issues at the upstream flow during the design and planning stage before the projects were executed.
• Attend technical/design clarification and project meetings with the vendors and the subcontractors with regard to the combined services drawings
• Develop and manage the design approval process with subcontractors, consultants and clients in a timely manner
• To report on the design submission to the client and undertake DAR submission
• Responsible for the testing and commissioning of high voltage & DC systems, ISCS and interface management

Budget & Schedule Management

• Establish and track the development of design deliverables against the procurement schedule and budget
• Identify and highlight any potential design risks or issues that will impact Project Performance

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma/Degree in any Engineering Discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in 22KV high voltage DC system designing, installation and testing & commissioning
• A team player with a strong analytical mind and the ability to work independently
