Responsibilities

• Collaborate with consultants to align design drawings with regulatory requirements.
• Create technical submissions for materials, construction methods, and structural shop drawings
• Address construction issues on drawings and maintain close communication with Architectural, M&E teams, and regulatory authorities.
• Evaluate and propose solutions for technical challenges, while planning, monitoring, and reporting the progress of shop drawing production
• Oversee a team of BIM Modelers responsible for generating coordinated shop drawings and Concrete Body Plans.

Requirements

• Min Degree in Civil Engineering or it's equivalent
• At least one year related working experience
• Professional Engineer registered with the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore is an added advantage
• Have familiarity with British and Singapore Design Standards.

Role Summary/Purpose

The Lead Engineer is the technical guarantor ofthe proper performance of design works conducted in his/her field of activity, in matter of committed design budget (man days), deadline and Quality, in line with Customer expectation, while promoting ease of installation, operationand maintenance ofthe system.

He/she plans basic and detailed design activities, manages & oversees detailed executionprogress, coordinates delivery of required engineering documentation forprocurement,manufacturing and site erection associated to concerned activity, based on Customerspecifications and requirement, and internal standards. He/she coordinates elaboration of documents done internally or through subcontracting.

Essential Responsibilities

• Establish, based on tender and contract analysis, and project strategy, the list of documents to produce for his/her field of activity
• Evaluates with PEM or PM engineering workload and deliverables datesfor concernedpackage, and commitsto such budget in man days and in time delivery
• Ensures on-time delivery of design, including Partner documents, to stakeholders withsuitable quality
• Anticipate and mitigate delivery issues and recommend changes.
• Lead & coordinate his/her design team.
• Manage and monitor detailed execution progress and short-term plan.
• Request from PEM or PM required technical coordination meetings with partner or key suppliers if when appropriate to synchronize respective designs.
• Measure design physical progress on relevant studies and provides PEMwith relevant data for evaluation of ETTC.
• Informs PEM / PM of design issues all along project execution and propose range ofsolutionsfor decision; follow solutions agreed up to resolution
• Updates risk assessment related to engineering &applies mitigation plan when required.
• Pro-actively generate and manage opportunities.
• Analyse and ensures compliance to customer technicalrequirements.
• Support Sourcing and Procurement in the definition of the Supplier’s list according to the project Strategy
• Manage technical interface with sub suppliers & partners, prepare input data , check consistency.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Engineering Degree(HV electricalfunction of field of activity involved)
• > 10 years engineering experience in the related activity/discipline, preferably in project & EPC type environment in T&D system, Power Gen, Renewable projects (Wind Form, Solar) in position of Lead Engineer
• Knowledge of Project organisation and engineering processes related to his/herscope of activity. 
• Experience of project technical management processes, preferably in a multi-disciplinary team’s context with multiple interfaces 
• Several experiences inmanaging externally subcontracted design work package of varioussizes. 
• English working knowledge 
• Experience in technical problem solving. 
• Willingness to work in various locations forshort or medium period and to travel worldwide.
• AutoCAD user 
• DIgSILENT – Power factory and PSSE
• Knowledge of HV primary design for both AIS-substation and GIS substation Including:
• Single Line Diagram 
• HV equipment sizing calculation and selection.
• Substation and equipment layout/Section

• Ensure efficient Civil & Structural and Geotechnical & viaduct design is achieved in accordance with Design Criteria and relevant standards
• Liaise with internal and external parties on all civil & structural and geotechnical & viaduct design matters and advises the Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/ Senior Project Manager (SPM)/Project Manager (PM) regularly

• Carry out any other duties as required by the Authority's Project management team, including attending technical meetings and discussions, preparation of minutes of technical meetings and to provide technical meetings and to provide technical support as required in the evaluations of Contractor's claims
• Ensure that the design intent is translated to construction on site by means of correct drawings and specifications
