• At least ten (10) years of relevant experience on projects similar in nature to vehicular tunnel, including at least five (5)years in the design of geotechnical works for deep excavation

Job Description

• Work on RTL to GDS, including synthesis, placement, clock tree insertion and routing.
• Responsible for GDS validation like DRC/LVS, timing closure sign-off, scan, validation etc.
• Design, implement and maintain synthesis, DFT and Static Timing Analysis scripts using best-in-class methodologies.
• Work closely with other groups like Analog Design, Systems, Applications and Production in determining architecture and specification of the products.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor/Masters Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering with min 1 year experience
• Good experience and knowledge in design flow from Netlist to GDS, Floor Planning, Synthesis, route , STA, CTS, RC Extraction and correlation
• Static timing analysis, power and noise analysis and back-end verification across multiple projects.
• Proficient with backend design EDA tools, Synopsys ICC2 preferred
• Successfully track records of taping out complex SOC
• Working knowledge of deep sub-micron routing issues as they relate to power and timing.
• Proficiency using Perl and TCL
• Self-motivated team worker, good verbal and written communication skills

Supervise ongoing projects and assist in design office i.e. resolve all technical issue

· Assist in all AC jobs/projects/contract

· Review all the design/checking of calculations for the company

· Represent the company, advise the same and act on its behalf to enable the company to perform its contractual obligations for the projects, as spelt out in the contract documents

· Act on behalf of the company to maintain reputation and goodwill with the clients

· Assist the Managing Director in subsequent tendering of projects and other contracts including but not limited to government projects, private projects, overseas projects

· Attend all site meetings with clients, contractors, QP Design and relevant authorities on matters related to the projects

· Attend meetings with Managing Director on regular basis with the view to report on matters related to the projects and assist in the resolution of issues which may affect the performance of the company in discharging its contractual obligations to the clients

· Promote the employer’s profile and capabilities in the procurement of projects and business development

· Be a management representative of the company for both site and office projects

· Review the design/checking of calculations

· Carry out planning, design drafting, cost estimate etc for the company’s project

· Prepare proposal and performance on tendering works for Consultancy

· Oversee authority’s submission and update of each project

· To cover duties for other Senior/ Design engineers

· Assist in technical design and drafting

· Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior

Criteria:

• Design Engineer (SDE) shall be an engineer in the civil/structural discipline with at least a degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
• At least ten (10) years of relevant experience on Civil & Structural projects
• Able to problem solve and manage projects

The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for structural analysis and design compliance are met for the project. This role will be supporting a Data Centre project.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Conduct structure analysis
• Provide technical engineering information to ensure compliance with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
• Develop architectural/engineering drawings and ensure specifications/regulations are followed.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and other departments to ensure that the design intentions are met.
• Prepare bills of quantities and cost estimation whenever required
• Ability to identify potential and discrepancies that affect the design and recommend solutions to relevant team/department.
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place.

Value Add of Position

• Design and calculation report for reinforced concrete, steel and geotechnical works using British Standards and Eurocode.

Technical Competencies

• Technical expertise and knowledge in Foundation, Structural and Civil works.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited Universities
• Prior 6 years of experience in design and construction (structural)
• Have completed a data center project or Past experience in Data Centre project will be highly preferred
• Well versed in structure analysis and design software such as ORION, SAP2000, SAFE, PROKON, PLAXIS or other similar software
• Well versed in Autocad and BIM software is preferred
