What the day will look like
- Keep abreast of Regional and/or Global market trends and work closely with key Business stakeholders to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Design innovative Benefits solutions that will allow Aon to take advantage of new revenue opportunities.
- Define standard templates/processes and create documentation in support of new service offerings.
- Deliver training related to new functionality/service offerings to other cross Functional teams as required.
- Provide training and support to Client Management teams to apprise them of standard service offerings.
- Support System and Data Analysts to ensure standard processes are followed and updated/maintained by those resources as required.
- Assist configuration with guidance on how the deployment (or migration) of new system updates into the production environment should occur.
- Provide domain specific expertise on benefit structure, guiding principles, and system integration tasks.
- Work with development to outline business requirements where new system functionality is required.
- Communicate status of work to the appropriate parties. Escalate risks as needed where items may not be delivered on time and may lead to project delay.
- Participation in client presentations meetings and training sessions.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Bachelor’s degree (with preferred concentrations in Math, Actuarial Science, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, MIS) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 6 years related work experience.
- Knowledge of financial and business metrics that drive client’s business and personal success. Educates others within Aon about financial issues impacting decision-making.
- Knowledge of risk management: identification, assessment, and prioritisation of risks followed by the development of a plan to minimise, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of unfortunate events.
- Experience with project‑based work structures, project lifecycle models, and key principles of effective project management.
- Experience in the development and implementation of software solutions including Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated competence with event flow configuration and testing.
- Ability to conduct research into application development issues and products.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Knowledge of SQL including the ability to create ad-hoc reports.
- Ability to perform technical writing required to articulate client needs
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills (organising, planning, prioritising activities to ensure execution especially on priority items).
- Demonstrates strong problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to work through details of a problem to reach a solution (the right solution for clients). The ability to choose between a number of options and committing to a future course of action.
- Highly self‑motivated and directed.
- Occasional international travel may be required.
